Steve Forbes is Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media.

The company’s flagship publication, Forbes, is the nation’s leading business magazine, with a circulation of more than 900,000. Forbes combined with Forbes Asia, Forbes Europe, and the company’s licensee editions together reach a worldwide audience of more than 5 million readers.

Forbes.com has become one of the world’s most influential websites, with more than 80 million unique visitors a month.

Mr. Forbes writes editorials for Forbes under the heading of “Fact and Comment.” A widely respected economic prognosticator, he is the only writer to have won the highly prestigious Crystal Owl Award four times. The prize was formerly given by U.S. Steel Corporation to the financial journalist whose economic forecasts for the coming year proved most accurate.

In both 1996 and 2000, Mr. Forbes campaigned vigorously for the Republican nomination for the Presidency. Key to his platform were a flat tax, medical savings accounts, a new Social Security system for working Americans, parental choice of schools for their children, term limits and a strong national defense. Mr. Forbes continues to energetically promote this agenda.

Mr. Forbes’ recent book: Reviving America: How Repealing Obamacare, Replacing the Tax Code and Reforming the Fed will Restore Hope and Prosperity, co-authored by Elizabeth Ames (McGraw-Hill Professional), came out in December, 2015.

His other books include Money: How the Destruction of the Dollar Threatens the Global Economy – and What We Can Do About It, co-authored by Elizabeth Ames (McGraw-Hill Professional); Freedom Manifesto: Why Free Markets are Moral and Big Government Isn’t, co-authored by Elizabeth Ames (Crown Business, August 2012); How Capitalism Will Save Us: Why Free People and Free Markets Are the Best Answer in Today’s Economy, co-authored by Elizabeth Ames (Crown Business, November 2009); and Power Ambition Glory: The Stunning Parallels between Great Leaders of the Ancient World and Today…and the Lessons You Can Learn, co-authored by John Prevas (Crown Business, June 2009). He also wrote: Flat Tax Revolution: Using a Postcard to Abolish the IRS (Regnery, 2005); and A New Birth of Freedom (Regnery, 1999), a book of bold ideas for the new millennium.

In 1985, President Reagan names Mr. Forbes Chairman of the bi-partisan Board for International Broadcasting (BIB). In this position, he oversaw the operations of Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty. Broadcasting behind the Iron Curtain, Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty were praised by Poland’s Lech Walesa as being critical to the struggle against communism. Mr. Forbes was reappointed to his post by President George H. W. Bush and served until 1993.

Steve Forbes was born on July 18, 1947, in Morristown, New Jersey. He received a B.A. in history from Princeton in 1970.

Mr. Forbes serves on the boards of The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, the Heritage Foundation and The Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. • Thursday and Saturday Morning Devotionals

• Thursday Workshop: "Spirituality in the Workplace"
We all take our spirit to work with us each day, the question is how healthy is it? Contrary to popular belief we do not leave our spirit at home on the kitchen counter or on the hall table on our way out the door or on the front seat of the car. We do indeed take it with us. Have you ever said to yourself on a morning drive to the office: “why am I doing this, why don’t I just turn around and go back home because my heart is not in this? Where do you stand when it comes to the health and wellness of your sprit in the place you work? Could it be improved for you and your co-workers and are you willing to be the leader?

• Friday Workshop: "How a Healthy Spirit Enhances Your Life Journey
Assessing your spirituality involves asking some serious questions and looking to your inner self for answers. Such a process can be frustrating initially, since we are rarely encouraged to look within for answers. We have been taught by both society and our culture that the most powerful solutions to our difficulties are provided by outside sources. Spirituality, on the other hand suggests that the most powerful solutions to our difficulties can be found within. In fact, your spirit probably receives more energy, attention and enthusiasm through what you do each day than any other time and place in your life.

Pastor Gary A. Gibson has been a national speaker for enhancing the quality of life through a healthy spirit for many years. He has been a speaker for various national organizations, colleges, churches and civic groups. Pastor Gary currently serves the North Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Washington Pennsylvania where he has been for the past twenty-three years. His work in spirituality includes serving as the Director of Pastoral Care for Presbyterian Senior Care's Washington, Pa. Campus. He also serves on the staff the Washington Hospital as their Oncology Chaplain and Spiritual Counselor for the past twenty-five years. Gary's Chaplaincy and Clinical Pastoral Education were completed at West Virginia University where he also did his residency program. His religions studies include Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Wheeling Jesuit University and Washington and Jefferson College where he serves as Spiritual Advisor and Chaplain. Pastor Gary is a proud veteran that served his country in the United States Navy.  He has a real practical approach to the importance of a healthy spirit in our daily lives but especially in the work place. Life is indeed a journey, for some it is a journey of faith, for others it is journey of religion and for others it is rooted in their own individual spirit. Maintaining a healthy spirit can and should carry us through the work week with purpose, motivation and a natural desire to help ourselves grow as well as others. Taking the time to nurture our spirit can and should give us the opportunity to grow, learn and succeed. "The journey of life is not meant to be feared and planned; it is meant to be travelled and thoroughly enjoyed". Pastor Gary and his wife Kathy of 46 years have two daughters and one granddaughter. They reside in Washington Pa.

Bryce Hoffman

• Opening Keynote: "American Icon: Alan Mulally and the Fight to Save Ford Motor Company"

At the end of 2008, Ford Motor Company was just months away from running out of cash. With the auto industry careening toward ruin, Congress offered all three Detroit automakers a bailout. General Motors and Chrysler grabbed the taxpayer lifeline, but Ford decided to save itself. Under the leadership of charismatic CEO Alan Mulally, Ford had already put together a bold plan to unify its divided global operations, transform its lackluster product lineup, and overcome a dysfunctional culture of infighting, backstabbing, and excuses. It was an extraordinary risk, but it led to one of the greatest turnarounds of all time. Mulally and his team pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in business history. As the rest of Detroit collapsed, Ford went from the brink of bankruptcy to being the most profitable automaker in the world. Bryce Hoffman, who chronicled this inspiring story in his bestselling book American Icon tells how Ford pulled it off, and shares the important lessons he learned from Mulally — lessons that you can use to help your business succeed.

Bryce G. Hoffman is an author, speaker, strategic adviser, and management consultant who believes that individuals have the power to transform companies and cultures.

Hoffman wrote the bestselling book American Icon: Alan Mulally and the Fight to Save Ford Motor Company, which has become a manual for leaders who want to transform their companies. His highly anticipated new book, Red Teaming: How Your Business Can Conquer the Competition by Challenging Everything, will be published in May 2017 by Crown Business.

Red teaming is a system developed by the U.S. Military and intelligence agencies to make critical and contrarian thinking part of an organization’s strategic planning process. Red Teams operate as specific divisions within an organization whose sole purpose is to stress-test strategies, identify missed opportunities, and expose hidden threats.

In 2015, Hoffman became the first and only civilian to graduate from the U. S. Army’s Red Team Leader Program at the University of Foreign Military and Cultural Studies at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Hoffman spent 22 years as a business reporter, covering Silicon Valley, the biotech industry in the San Francisco Bay Area and the automobile industry in Detroit. His work received numerous awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, the Associated Press and the California Newspaper Publishers Association. He was also a three-time finalist for the Gerald Loeb Award, the most prestigious honor in business journalism.

Hoffman left journalism in 2014 to work as a consultant full-time, but he continues to write a column on leadership and business culture for Forbes.com. In addition, he appears regularly on television and radio shows in the United States and around the world, including the BBC, NPR, CNN, FOX, PBS, CBS, CNBC, Fox Business, Bloomberg, the CBC, RTÉ, Radio New Zealand, al Jazeera, Deutschland radio and other local, national and international networks.

A native of California, Hoffman majored in Anthropology and Philosophy at San Francisco State University and later completed a fellowship in economics at the California State University in Hayward. He now resides with his wife in Fenton, Michigan.
Alan Mulally

• Thursday Keynote: “What I Learned Saving the American Automobile Industry... From Itself!”
In 2006, the Ford Motor Company suffered a devastating 12.7 billion dollar loss. At the time, Ford had witnessed a downgrade in stock-value and its brand mismanaged; however, under the leadership of a newly appointed president and CEO, Alan Mulally, the organization saw a remarkable return to profitability and was later in fact the only American car manufacturer to not accept a bailout from the United States government.  With Mulally’s vision and commitment, Ford was able to recommit itself to quality, develop a comprehensive strategy and implement a new sense of identity. His renowned leadership skills transformed Ford into one of the world’s leading automobile companies and the #1 automobile brand in the United States. Mulally expounds on his strategic leadership and inspires audience members to explore their own set of skills as they apply to and enhance their organization.

Alan Mulally, the man credited with saving the America automobile industry, served as CEO of Ford Motor Company from 2006-2014. The year Mulally took over Ford (2006), the company reported a $12B loss. Mortgaging the entire company to fund his turnaround, Mulally left Ford 8 years later with a record market value and $20B in net profit for 2014. The only American automobile company not to take a government bailout, Mulally will share how he transformed Ford and the entire American automobile industry. Prior to Ford, Mulally was CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Mulally is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Alphabet/Google.

Chris Porter, co-author of "Big Shifts Ahead: Demographic Clarity for Businesses," will present a case study of how one group of next generation leaders reinterpret the business philosophies that resonate very well with senior management. Chris will also present on how to manage this next generation of leaders, who may have a different take on mission, vision and values of a company.

• Thursday Workshop: "Inside the Lines of the Mexican Drug War"
Mexican authorities have been waging a bloody war against the drug cartels for over a decade with limited success; over 100,000 lives have been lost since 2006.  To stem the northbound flow of drugs like heroin, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine, the U.S. has committed more than $2 billion in assistance to Mexico’s counternarcotics efforts over the past 10 years, but the opioid crisis in the U.S. has actually reached epidemic proportions.  The U.S. and Mexico are arduously designing more comprehensive strategies to reduce the demand for and supply of these highly addictive drugs.

• Saturday Keynote: "Fear Not! What's Really Happening in America's Global War on Terror" (pre-registration required)
The Islamic State has been routed out of Iraq and Syria by the U.S.-led global coalition to defeat ISIS in 2017 - that’s the good news! However, ISIS “the terrorist movement” has metathesized, and its sympathizers and foreign fighters are conducting ISIS-directed and ISIS-inspired attacks in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Africa. The Pulse nightclub, San Bernardino, NY Westside Highway, and NY Port Authority attacks demonstrate that the U.S. in not immune to terrorism, but rest assured, the U.S. is extremely well prepared to detect, address, and respond to terrorism and to promote a culture of resilience to preserve our way of life.

• Saturday Power Lunch with Steve Forbes: "Q&A: Politics, Economy, and National Security...Your Biggest Questions Answered"

Celina Realuyo is President of CBR Global Advisors, LLC and Professor of Practice at the William J. Celina is a regular commentator on global affairs for CNN en Español, Foreign Policy, Reuters, and Univision and has testified before Congress on national security, terrorism, and crime issues.
